Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not build, ship, or send with Uplift Funnel — the boundaries that keep the platform usable for everyone on it.

Effective 2026-07-25

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you build with Uplift Funnel and to the apps you ship it in.

1. Content you may not ship in a flow

  • Material that is unlawful where it is served, or that infringes anyone rights.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a person who is or appears to be a minor. This results in immediate termination and, where required, a report to authorities.
  • Content promoting terrorism, mass violence, or hatred against people on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  • Malware, exploit code, phishing pages, or anything designed to compromise a device or an account.
  • Material impersonating another person, brand, or organisation, including screens designed to look like a system dialog, an app store prompt, or a payment sheet that is not one.

2. Deceptive monetisation

Our product exists to make purchase funnels convert better. That is not a licence to mislead, and the following are not allowed:

  • Hiding, obscuring, or misstating the price, the billing period, the trial length, or the fact that a subscription renews automatically.
  • Removing or disguising the close, skip, or dismiss control on a paywall in order to trap the user, or making it deliberately hard to find.
  • Presenting a paid step as a required step to use a free product, when it is not.
  • Fabricating urgency, scarcity, social proof, reviews, or personalised results that have no basis — for example a countdown that resets forever, or a "result" screen that ignores the answers the user gave.
  • Removing the Terms, Privacy, or restore-purchases affordances from a paywall.

Our platform actively blocks the last one: a paywall screen missing those links will not publish. The rest we rely on you for, and will act on if reported.

3. Data you may not collect through a flow

Onboarding questions are a powerful way to personalise. They are a poor place to collect sensitive data, and you must not use a flow to gather:

  • Payment card numbers, bank details, passwords, one-time codes, or any authentication credential.
  • Government identifiers such as national ID, passport, or social security numbers.
  • Special-category data under Article 9 of the GDPR — health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious belief, trade-union membership, or sex life and sexual orientation — unless you have a valid Article 9 basis, have told the user plainly, and your own privacy notice covers it.
  • Personal data about children, where your app is directed at children.

Health and wellness apps: a question such as "what is your goal weight" is health data. You may still ask it, but the obligation to have a lawful basis and to disclose it is yours.

4. Technical conduct

  • Do not attempt to access another customer data, probe or breach our authentication, or test the security of the platform without written permission. To report a vulnerability responsibly, see our Security page.
  • Do not circumvent rate limits, quotas, or plan limits, and do not create multiple accounts to split usage in order to stay under a threshold.
  • Do not send fabricated analytics or revenue events, or otherwise misreport activity.
  • Do not use the AI features to generate content that would breach section 1 or 2, and do not resell access to them.
  • Do not use automated means to scrape the dashboard or the API beyond documented endpoints, and do not resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform as your own.

5. What happens if this policy is broken

For most breaches we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where the breach is severe, ongoing, or puts users, third parties, or the platform at risk, we may remove content, disable a feature, suspend the account, or terminate it, with or without prior notice.

Suspension for a policy breach is one of the few situations where flow serving itself may be stopped. Outside of that, and a legal order or security incident, we do not switch off live funnels — see section 10 of the Terms.

6. Reporting a problem

To report content or behaviour that breaches this policy, email hello@upliftfunnel.com with enough detail for us to find it. We review every report.
